Why patients decline participation in an intervention to reduce re-hospitalization through patient activation: whom are we missing?

Its a noble aim to try and reduce re-hospitalisation rates (no-one *wants* to be bouncing back in), but it is a difficult time to be asking patients to engage in interventions to achieve this... https://t.co/dZErj3SQxJ

Why do #patients refuse participation in #RCTs evaluating interventions to reduce #rehospitalization? Pts report "having sufficient support (17.5%), no need for support (16%), being too ill (14.6%), and lack of time for illness-related activities (14.2%)."
