New antibiotics are also discovered all the time. In 2016, researchers found 3 antibiotics by swabbing for microbes in New York; on a metal stairway rail, a plastic payphone, and a street sign. All three had microbes that made thiocillin antibiotics. ht

Anyone know if any @metasub groups have published on the BGCs they proposed to dig up? https://t.co/yWcS8Oe0mI The recent Cell paper (https://t.co/WGpAAHx2Xa) focuses mainly on AMR and even though "BGC" is a keyword there's no mention of BGCs.
