Abstract

Cellular bioenergetics (cellular respiration and accompanying ATP synthesis) is a highly sensitive biomarker of tissue injury and may be altered following infection. The status of cellular mitochondrial O(2) consumption of the lung in pulmonary RSV infection is unknown.
