@carolynporco Plants store starch in their seeds and roots. Dogs and cats reportedly have amylase(s) which convert starch to glucose. Hence, high-starch food might make dogs and cats diabetic. I'm not an expert on this subject. Dogs: https://t.co/7bUiqmq1L
