Abstract |
The editors of Virology Journal would like to thank all our reviewers who have contributed to the journal in Volume 12 (2015). The success of any scientific journal depends on an effective and strict peer review process and Virology Journal could not operate without your contribution. Our record time from submission to online, open access, publication in 2015 was 36 days for a Research Article (Virol J 12:107, 2015). This is a great achievement by any standard. We look forward to your continuous support of Virology Journal either as an invited reviewer or a contributing author in the years to come. |

Attention Score in Context
This research output has an Altmetric Attention Score of 1. This is our high-level measure of the quality and quantity of online attention that it has received. This Attention Score, as well as the ranking and number of research outputs shown below, was calculated when the research output was last mentioned on 09 March 2016.
All research outputs
#19,971,836
of 24,542,484 outputs
Outputs from Virology Journal
#2,641
of 3,263 outputs
Outputs of similar age
#224,064
of 304,260 outputs
Outputs of similar age from Virology Journal
#47
of 51 outputs
Altmetric has tracked 24,542,484 research outputs across all sources so far. This one is in the 10th percentile – i.e., 10% of other outputs scored the same or lower than it.
So far Altmetric has tracked 3,263 research outputs from this source. They typically receive a lot more attention than average, with a mean Attention Score of 25.0. This one is in the 5th percentile – i.e., 5% of its peers scored the same or lower than it.
Older research outputs will score higher simply because they've had more time to accumulate mentions. To account for age we can compare this Altmetric Attention Score to the 304,260 tracked outputs that were published within six weeks on either side of this one in any source. This one is in the 14th percentile – i.e., 14% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
We're also able to compare this research output to 51 others from the same source and published within six weeks on either side of this one. This one is in the 1st percentile – i.e., 1% of its contemporaries scored the same or lower than it.
