Abstract

Young children with persistent wheezing pose a diagnostic and therapeutical challenge to the pediatrician.We aimed to evaluate bacterial bronchial infection as a possible reason for non response to conventional asthma therapy, and to identify and characterise the predominant pathogens involved.
